Available Copper Tubing Sizes:

TU-250 Copper Tubing

• Size: 1/4-inch OD
• Use: Ideal for making heavy-wall hunting bullet jackets for calibers up to .257.
• Application: Use with Corbin CTJM-1 jacket maker kits to form jackets for bullets in the .257 and smaller calibers. After forming, use the JRD-1 draw dies to reduce these jackets to calibers such as .243 or .224 (or similar sizes).
• Recommended Calibers: Best for .257 and smaller calibers. Avoid using for calibers smaller than .224 due to the impracticality of punches and pressure requirements.

TU-312 Copper Tubing

• Size: 5/16-inch OD, .035-inch thick walls, 36-inch lengths
• Use: Creates jackets for calibers from .312 to .264.
• Application: Use Corbin CTJM-1 tubing jacket maker kits to form jackets for these calibers. To make smaller jackets, add a JRD-1 draw die to reduce to desired diameters. For further shaping, you can use a base forming punch to flatten the base or create a rebated boattail (RBT) base.
• Recommended Calibers: .312 to .264, with the option to reduce further with additional tooling.

TU-375 Copper Tubing

• Size: 3/8-inch OD, .035-inch thick walls
• Use: Ideal for making high-grade jackets for .375 to .318 caliber bullets.
• Application: Use with the appropriate CTJM-1 jacket maker kits for these calibers. To create smaller calibers, you can add JRD-1 draw dies and the required punches for base forming and core seating.
• Recommended Calibers: .375 to .318. Additional tooling can be used to create smaller calibers.

TU-438 Copper Tubing

• Size: 7/16-inch OD
• Use: For making jackets for larger calibers, such as those used for .44, .41, or .40 caliber bullets.
• Recommended Calibers: Typically used for the lever action or handgun caliber bullets.

TU-500 Copper Tubing

• Size: 1/2-inch OD, .035-inch thick walls
• Use: Commonly used for making .510-diameter 50 BMG bullets, .452 handgun bullets, and .458 rifle bullets.
• Application: Use with CTJM-1 tubing jacket maker kits. For calibers down to .378, use the .375-inch tubing, but this tubing is primarily for larger calibers such as .452, .458, and .510.
• Recommended Calibers: .385 to .512-inch diameters, commonly used for .50 BMG, .452 handgun, and .458 rifle bullets.

TU-625 (or TU-5/8) Copper Tubing

• Size: 5/8-inch OD, .032-inch thick walls, 3-foot lengths
• Use: Perfect for making jackets for bullets larger than .512 inches, up to approximately .628 inches in diameter.
• Application: Ideal for making jackets for large calibers such as .600 Nitro and .577 calibers.
• Recommended Calibers: .512 inches to .628 inches, used for large bullets like the .600 Nitro or .577 calibers.
