A new jacket now available from Corbin is the .38/9mm (works for both) .377
length pistol jacket for lighter weight semi-wadcutter styles and soft points,
Cat.No. J-38-377 in packages of 500 for $35.
We also have .38/9mm jackets in
lengths of .437 (Cat.No. J-38-437) and .500 (Cat.No. J-38-500), packages of 500
for $35. The shorter .377 makes ideal medium and light weight Keith or AutoLoader
SWC styles bullets, compared to the middle to heavy weight SWC styles that are
produced in the .437 and .500 lengths. Very light, fast softpoint bullets can
also be made with this shorter jacket, without using the polyethylene ball
(Bullet Ball) filler to extend the airframe length and maintain stability with
light weights in the longer jackets.
Lead wire which fits these jackets is available from Corbin in 70,000 grain spools, packaged on a heavy custom plastic spool for easy feeding. The wire size to use is 0.312-inch diameter. Corbin's certified pure lead wire is $20.
